“If it is to be, it is up to me”
This is a quote that has been rolling in my head for a few days now and it is something that excites me very much…why because it pulls one into the knowledge that we have a gift called life and that we should use it to the best of our ability.
At least for me this is what it does.
Its getting to that time now where we are all beginning to think about Christmas and the Holidays ( however you may celebrate it ) We are looking at a new year coming and what resolutions we must make. Some of us may even be thinking about what we have done the past year and what we haven’t. When that happens some of us look back and simply ‘wish’ that things could have been better or different; how we could be in a different place than where we are. Why does it happen, oh simple human nature I guess? That or the fact that we haven’t learnt another truth which says
” A goal without a plan is only a wish”
So instead of changing our lives next week, next month of next year, lets all decide that if there is something we want, we will go for it in the next minute! Preposterous you say? Well the world hasn’t come this far by those who sit back and wait, its made by those who do…so I say lets do and not wait.
For me it means to take a moment, see where I am, see where I want to be, understand that I can get there, plan it (Now) and begin to execute it … Maybe this means giving up some things I think are necessary, maybe it means doing things that make me feel uncomfortable, maybe it means letting go of the edge that I hang on to and move towards something else.
I leave you with this thought
